About Dr. Friedman
Sanford Friedman, MD is a practicing internist and cardiologist in New York, NY. Dr. Friedman received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He is affiliated with the Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Friedman has been in private practice for many years. As a specialist in cardiovascular medicine and an internist, he has seen first-hand the importance of a close doctor/patient relationship, comprehensive medical interventions, and a strong emphasis on preventive wellness. Dr. Friedman is passionate about moving patients towards the lifestyle choices that lead to better long term health, including nutrition and fitness, stress reduction, and taking the time to be appreciate all that the city has to offer. As part of his concierge medicine program, Dr. Friedman spends extra time with patients to serve as a coach and motivator. He has scheduled several “Strides with Sandy” walks about Central Park for patients at varying fitness levels, and has even taken members on guided tours through the Met.
